#Triumph tr3a dashboard manual
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. A tune-up was reportedly performed in the summer of 2020, and the seller states that work during the refurbishment included rebuilding the carburetors and replacing the fuel tank, radiator, battery, and valve cover seal.

The 2.0-liter inline-four features twin carburetors and an electronic ignition system. The five-digit odometer shows approximately 69k miles, 500 of which were added by the seller. Auxiliary gauges monitoring oil pressure, coolant temperature, fuel level, and amperage are mounted in the black central dashboard insert. The three-spoke banjo-style steering wheel fronts Jaeger instrumentation including a 120-mph speedometer and a 6k-rpm tachometer. The seller reports that the windshield wiper motor and cable have been replaced, and the heater does not work. Additional interior equipment includes a Triumph-logo shift knob, dash-mounted rear-view mirror, lockable glovebox, lap belts, and wind wings. The interior was reportedly refreshed during current ownership and features twin bucket seats trimmed in black along with a matching black dashboard, door panels, and carpets. A matching-full-size spare is included in the sale. Powder-coated 15″ wire wheels feature two-eared knock-offs and are wrapped in 165/80 Nexen SB-802 tires. Exterior equipment includes a chrome rear luggage rack, dual fender-mounted sideview mirrors, a chrome front bumper with overriders, and chrome rear bumperettes. Work prior to the repaint reportedly included sandblasting of body panels, rust repair, and replacement of the doors and front fenders. The TR3A is distinguished by a wider front grille compared to earlier models, and this example was refinished in red during current ownership. This TR3A is offered with a full-size spare wheel and tire, a soft top and side curtains, spare parts, and a clean Virginia title in the seller’s name. Additional equipment includes a chrome front bumper, rear bumperettes, and a chrome rear luggage rack. Power comes from a 2.0-liter inline-four that has been fitted with an electronic ignition and is paired with a four-speed manual transmission. The car is finished in red over a refreshed black interior, and work also reportedly included rust repair as well as replacement of the doors and front fenders.

The TSF series were identical to the last run of TR3As, so with 2 liter engine but with the TR4 all-synchromesh gear box. This 1958 Triumph TR3A was acquired by the seller in 2017 as a partially refurbished project that was later completed. Both series were partly produced in parallel. Two series were produced, one with a commission number preceded by TSF of which 530 were produced and one with commission numbers preceded by TCF of which 2804 were produced. The "TR3B" was a special short-production run in response to dealer concerns that the buying public might not welcome the TR4. It was offered concurrent with the TR4, which started production in 1961. The "Triumph TR3B" is an unofficial name given nowadays to the final version of the TR3, which was produced in 1962.

The updates included the new wide front grill, exterior door handles, lockable boot handle and came with a full tool kit as standard (this was an option on the TR3).

The "TR3A" was a minor update from the TR3. However the cars were not badged as such and the "TR3A" name was not used officially. In 1957 the TR3 was updated with various changes including a full width radiator grille and this facelifted model was commonly referred to as the Triumph "TR3A". In 1956 the front brakes were changed from drums to discs, the TR3 thus becoming the first British series production car to be so fitted.

The four-speed manual gearbox could be supplemented by an overdrive unit on the top three ratios, electrically operated and controlled by a switch on the dash. This was later increased to 100 BHP at 5000 rpm by the addition of a "high port" cylinder head and enlarged manifold. The car was powered by a 1991 cc straight-4 OHV engine initially producing 95 BHP, an increase of 5 HP over the TR2 thanks to the larger SU-H6 carburetors fitted.
